Rachael McNeal

raeheadshotRachael McNeal currently works as the Programming Coordinator in the Interfaith Center at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL. A native of Columbus, Ohio, Rachael graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary where she received her Master of Divinity in 2012. Rachael is also a graduate of Flagler College where she studied Religion/Philosophy and Youth Ministry. Rachael is an alum of the Interfaith Youth Core, having completed a seminary course on Youth and Interfaith Leadership with Eboo Patel, Cassie Meyer and Dr. Kenda Dean at Princeton Seminary. She has written for the Interfaith Youth Core’s blog and is on IFYC’s alumni speakers bureau. Rachael’s work has also been featured on Sojourners, OnFaith, HuffPost Religion, and Jewish Post.

Rachael grew up in a non-denominational charismatic church in Columbus, Ohio where she became a follower of Jesus, heard her calling to ministry, and was baptized in the Holy Spirit. It was there that she learned that following Jesus also meant caring deeply for others in word and action.  Rachael currently attends a United Methodist Church in St. Augustine, FL with her husband and daughter where she serves on the worship team. Inspired by Jesus’ love and service for all people, Rachael felt called to full-time Interfaith work. Rachael believes that good coffee is proof that God loves us. She also enjoys Yoga, film, playing in the sun at the beach or elsewhere, photography, and, of course, writing. Rachael lives in St. Augustine, FL with her husband Kevin, daughter Esther, and dog Chief Clancy Wiggum.
